M1 Legal has won two further court cases against Silverpoint, securing a combined compensation total of £41,961 for the clients involved.
In each ruling, the judge found the Silverpoint timeshare contracts to be illegal because they were signed in perpetuity—meaning there was no end date set out in the agreement. This type of arrangement is often central to a perpetuity contract claim, as contracts without a defined duration can fall foul of required standards.
The court also concluded that the agreements did not meet the minimum legal requirements. As a result, both Silverpoint contracts were declared null and void, confirming that the contracts could not be relied upon in law.
The two awards were made as follows: in the first case, compensation totalled £16,428; in the second case, the award came to £25,533. Together, the two court wins delivered a total payout of £41,961.
Congratulations to both of our clients and to the M1 Legal team on these outcomes.
