We are pleased to share last week’s Spanish court victories.
Our legal team secured four strong results. Three awards were above our overall average, with a total of £135,207 awarded for the week.
In a case against Anfi Sales & Anfi Resorts, the Court of Appeal in Malaga ruled in our favour, rejected all points of Anfi’s defence and ordered them to pay costs. The award was £18,123.
There were three cases against Silverpoint. In each one, the court declared the timeshare contract null due to a lack of essential information, including details about the property and when it could be used. The awards were £25,010, £45,030 and £47,042.
Alongside these substantive cases, there were also 12 jurisdiction victories valued at £229,053. All were against CLC apart from one against Diamond Resorts. The defence challenged the cases being heard in Spain. Five victories were at the initial jurisdiction hearing, and six were successful appeals. All cases will now proceed to the next stage.
