Our legal team had an exceptionally busy first week of November in the Spanish courts, securing six successful judgments against Club La Costa Sucursal. The cases included the largest single award in this run of Club La Costa matters, with the court ordering payment of £30,870. Across all six Club La Costa court decisions, the total compensation awarded reached £105,387.
Each of these matters forms part of ongoing Club La Costa timeshare litigation in Spain, where the court considers the individual contract and the circumstances of sale. While outcomes depend on the facts of each case, this set of results represents another strong week of decisions in proceedings brought against Club La Costa Sucursal.
Alongside the substantive Club La Costa court cases, the Fuengirola court also dealt with a further six Club La Costa jurisdiction matters. All six concluded with favourable outcomes, helping to keep the related claims progressing through the court process without unnecessary delay.
We also attended hearings involving Anfi and Diamond. In the Anfi matter, the agreement was declared null after the court found the contract did not clearly set out what product had been purchased or the period of ownership. As a result, our clients were awarded £16,027.
In addition, the court heard three substantive cases against Diamond. Across those three hearings, the combined awards totalled £31,865, rounding off a week of positive results across multiple Spanish timeshare disputes.
