Over the past week, we’ve secured a series of favourable judgements against several timeshare resorts and groups, under the following contractual names:
- CLC Sucursal
- CLC Continental Resorts
- PC Marketing Balear (CLC)
- Sunset Beach
The cases were heard in Fuengirola Court (Spain), Arona Court (Tenerife), Torremolinos (Spain) and Palma de Mallorca Court (Canary Islands).
In the case against Sunset Beach, the claimant was awarded £12,925, including costs. The three Club La Costa (CLC) judgements were all decided in our favour because the contractual agreements lacked key accommodation details. In the Club La Costa court ruling in Spain involving CLC Continental Resorts, the judge condemned CLC in costs and ordered payment of double the first payment made by our client within 30 days of signing the contract. The same outcome applied in the case against CLC PC Marketing Balear, where the client was awarded £13,222. In the final case, against CLC Sucursal, our clients were awarded £16,585, including costs.
In addition, last week we secured two jurisdiction victories against Diamond Resorts and a further six against Club La Costa. All but one of these cases took place in Fuengirola Court, mainland Spain, with the other heard in Arona Court, Tenerife.
